During college I was an RA. For three years. I was involved in a lot of different activities and programs on campus that lots of people pretty much avoided like a disease. And I pretty much enjoyed every single second of it. I was a huge residence life nerd, so what. I’m also an orange belt in karate, so there (I’m unsure about the relevance, as well…).

Anyways, one program that the university put on was something that my friend Tiffany and I couldn’t get over. It was called “The Wall of Hate”. Basically, it entailed people writing down oppressive terms on cinder blocks so that a wall could be made with them. That wall would then be torn down. You know, to symbolize the end of hate and stuff. So I guess, theoretically, we were trying to save the world.

(It’s ideas like this, you guys, that can solve the issues we’re finding ourselves in now. If only people would just realize…)

So Tiff and I decided to film the end of hate. It’s probably 10x better than you could even dream. I hope you enjoy it and feel less oppressed!

It seems that I only come back here to update you with songs and other random junk that you probably don’t care about. Maybe someday I’ll remedy that.

There was a fire today across the street from my office, around 53rd and 7th in Midtown. I’m not sure how it happened, but a cab just burst into flames. The funny part is that the first person on the scene was the security guard in my building. The one who pesters me for my ID even when I’ve been gone for a tiny 2 minute coffee run. He was out there in a flash.

Anyways, the cab’s tires exploded at some point, not to mention the fact that the poor woman who sells framed pictures of NYC street signs lost like, ALL her shit. No one, as far as I know, was in the cab, and none of the police officers or firemen were harmed. Here are some pictures I took.

A couple in Japan had a Gundam themed wedding. Complete with a HUGE FREAKING ROBOT. Guys, the US really needs to step it up a notch, because Japan is kicking our ass in the “Weirdest Shit Ever” contest that I continually have in my head. Click here to view more pics.

I don’t know why, but to me, high fives are the best thing in the history of ever. I’m pretty sure that if you spoke to any co-workers, friends, acquaintances or strangers I pass drunkenly in the street, they would tell you my obsession with high fives borders on unhealthy. At the very least it’s in the realm of fucking annoying.

Anyways, the whole point is that I love high fives. And I totally should have come up with this t-shirt like, generations ago. Ugh, I’m so pissed with myself.

If someone could put this into song, I’d give you the best high five of your life.

My cousin Billy and his wife Karen had their second baby just over two weeks ago. I want to warn you all right now, that William is the most adorable fucking baby existing in the world today. If your mind explodes due to raw, unfiltered cuteness, it’s not my fault.

This was when he was first born. He came out with the hat already on his head. He’s wicked talented.

You can’t tell, but this is me holding him. He loves me. All babies do.

LOOK AT HOW HE EATS!!! It’s too freaking adorable. It’s like he is just SO EXCITED to have that bottle of boob milk, his little infant emotions can’t contain themselves, so he just lies there, flabbergasted at how good that shit is.

This is Olivia. She’s about 2 years older than her brother and her laugh lights up the lives of all around her. I can’t take it sometimes.

I hope you’re all okay and not dead due to overdosing on cuteness. You probably just made it, huh? Barely survived that onslaught? WELL BAM!

My friend Danielle’s dog, Brody! Oh man. Too much cute. Sorry if I overdid it.

Because I have new roommates [moved into a new place, story for later], I’m still getting know what they’re like and the things they love. Recently, one of my roommates, a former comedian, mentioned how he loves this guy, Bill Hicks, and we should all watch him sometime.

Well, long story short [maybe I would go into funny little analogies and what not right now, but because I was sick yesterday, I have about zero patience for putting in a lot of hoo-hah effort] we watched this pretty awesome stand up. If you have about an hour today and like to laugh and be all mirthful and whatevs, watch this and enjoy.

Sometimes you see a project that is just so simple in it’s creation and execution that you get a little upset for not having thought of it yourself. Like this project by designer Ed McGowan, who has started taking awesome photos of his son’s toys.
