Sorry for the lack of posting this week. This past weekend, we had a death in the family, with the funeral taking place on New Year’s Eve. Yesterday was a day of hell for me, mainly because of the packing I am totally unequipped to do. I always pack for accidents, like “What if I’m so fat I rip my jeans in the ass during the New Year’s Eve party?” Well good thing I prepared. Because that happened.
The problem is I never consider the fact that I’ll want to bring back to NYC tons of things I find around the house. Season 1 of Pete & Pete on DVD? Yes please. I’ll never watch it again, but for some unknown reason I need it in my possession forever and ever.
Today was a travel day, where I sat next to two people who just met and decided to share their life stories with one another, along with an awkward sexual tension, for the entire ride. I couldn’t help listening in, so I learned a lot. Such as she graduated from Syracuse in 2005, lives in Astoria, is an actor, recently finished “A Christmas Carol”, has an ex-boyfriend in Chicago whom she still has feelings for and hasn’t gotten around to seeing “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind“.
He is in the military and is stationed in Hawaii with family in Jersey and Boston. He went to Iraq as a pilot, would date his roommate if he were a woman, thinks that all wrestlers like to hang out naked [based upon his college experiences] and he feels pressured to get naked too when around it, has been robbed by a prostitute and picked up by two drag queens in one night in Waikiki and was engaged at one point to a woman who now resides in North Dakota.
Also I think he’s super gay. Because that track record above is just too gay, you guys.
And now I’m home. And I’ll post for tomorrow, maybe, but don’t count on it. I’m pretty much dead on my feet. And something shiny just shined. So I’m off!
